  • Back to news

Eugster II Belgrade is thrilled to announce our return to the upcoming edition of miart. You can find us at the Emergent section, curated by Attilia Fattori Franchini, where we’ll be presenting a dialogue between the captivating works of Marko Obradović and Saša Tkačenko. The fair will take place from 4 to 6 April 2025 (with a VIP preview on Thursday, 3 April) at Allianz MiCo in Milano, Italy.

Marko Obradović (b. 1998) is a visual artist currently living and working in Belgrade, Serbia.
His practice includes painting, printmaking, installation and video. Obradović’s exploration centres on ephemeral qualities of identity and spirituality. His pieces function as scene studies that immerse his subjects in liminal scenarios, creating speculative narratives. Themes of abjection, trans-humanism and esotericism are at the centre of his practice.
Marko graduated from the painting department at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. He has had various  shows in the prior years, both local and international, some of which were group shows at Eugster || Belgrade (Belgrade, 2024, 2022), Berlinskej Model space (Prague, 2024),Kula Gallery, in collaboration with Voždovačka galerija (Belgrade, 2022), a group presentation at Vienna Contemporary (2023), and recent solo shows at De Bouwput gallery (Amsterdam, 2022) and at CEJLA (Brno, 2023).
His works have been acquired by LUKOWA Art Foundation.

Saša Tkačenko (b. 1979) currently lives and works in Zagreb, Croatia.
His artistic practice engages spaces and their transformation when exposed to other media, as their architectural features interact with sculpture, video and installation. Tkačenko’s works thus create dynamic situations in which the audience plays a constituent part, often reflecting on motives and stories from popular culture and contemporary human life.
He has been exhibiting since 2008, including shows at institutions such as Centre Pompidou Paris (2016), Museum of Contemporary Art Belgrade (2019), mumok – Museum Moderner Kunst Vienna (2015), Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb (2016), MNAC – National Museum of Contemporary Art Bucharest (2015), Art Encounters Biennial, Timisoara, Romania (2023), Times Museum Guangdong (2016), ACP – Australian Centre for Photography Sydney (2015), Belgrade City Museum (2016), Künstlerhaus Bremen (2013), UnionDocs Center for Documentary Art New York (2014), Castello di Rivoli – Museo di Arte di Contemporanea Torino (2008).
Tkačenko participated in artist-in-residence programs at ISCP in New York and T.I.C.A-AirLAb Tirana Institute of Contemporary Art. His works were shown at art fairs such as Basel Social Club (2024), Liste Art Fair Basel (2021), Rewriting our imaginations organised by LISTE (2020), Art Geneve (2018), Flash Show Budapest (2020), Not Cancelled (2020).
His works are in collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade and Telenor collection of contemporary art.
